Halloween Witch Girl Zooming Past the Full Moon

Off she goes on her broomstick, a young witch with a wide-eyed grin, long wavy hair and a short cape trailing behind. She wears a tall pointed hat with a big buckle, a tunic cinched with a belt, a little round clasp at the collar, a flared skirt, striped stockings and buckled pointy boots. Both hands hold the bristly broom. A large full moon with crater circles glows in the top corner, and five small stars are scattered around her. Clean, bold outlines and generous open spaces make this free printable simple to color with crayons or markers. Purple for the hat and cape is a good start, with orange and black stripes on the stockings. Leave the moon pale yellow and the night scene will feel a bit magical. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big purple areas first: the witch's cape, dress, sleeves and pointed hat in royal purple.
- 2Color the hat band, buckle and the lighter parts of the hat in lavender, and the brim edges in deep plum.
- 3Color the long flowing hair in tangerine orange, then the face, ears, neck and hands in light peach, leaving the eye whites white.
- 4Color the broom bristles and the moon craters in amber gold, the broom handle in chestnut brown, the stars and the brooch in lemon yellow, and leave the moon's surface white.
- 5Finish the legs with tangerine orange stockings and charcoal black stripes, the boots in charcoal black and the boot straps in slate gray.
- 6Optional: add a few darker purple strokes along the bottom of the cape to give it a little depth.
