Happy Butterfly on a Daisy, Free Animals Coloring Sheet
Coloring guide
Right in the center of a large flower sits a cheerful butterfly with a round smiling face and two curly antennae. Its wings are spread wide and decorated with two hearts, rows of circles along the edges, and big petal-shaped sections. The flower below has a dotted center and wide, rounded petals. Near the bottom, two leaves and a small closed flower bud grow on thin stems. Big shapes and bold lines make it a good match for preschoolers and early elementary kids who are still building pencil control. Purple and pink wings with bright red hearts look lovely, plus a yellow flower center and orange petals. Print it free whenever you need a calm, creative break. Tuck it into your Animals coloring page collection, along with Puppies and Cats.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big leaves and the stem by coloring them leaf green, leaving the little bud leaves for later.
- 2Fill the daisy petals and the flower bud with rose pink, including the two heart shapes on the wings.
- 3Color the big butterfly wings violet purple, then fill the long inner wing shapes with sky blue.
- 4Paint the round head, the face, and the middle of the flower center golden yellow, and color the body stripes orange and plum purple.
- 5Add the wing dots and the antenna balls in golden yellow, and leave the eye whites, highlights, and background white.
- 6Optional: add a little shading with a darker shade of each color along one side of the petals and wings for extra depth.
